Together with MIT scientists Agnieszka Kurant created a system to Amazon Mechanical Turk (AMT) workers to take self-portraits with their mobile phones and get compensated for this through the Amazon platform. The thousands of selfies that were received through this effort were algorithmically modeled into 3D forms and printed as sculptures. These sculptures use a single line from each photograph, hence, the sculptures can be seen as collective portraits. When one of these collective portraits is sold each AMT contributor to that sculpture gets compensated via a bonus system. This is described as an effort that: "subverts the exploitative monetization of facial recognition procedures by allowing the workers to draw actual profits from the sales of the images of their own faces.
