Description (in English)

The name of the artwork refers to Giacomo Rizzolatti's mirror neurons that he discovered in 1999. Through this concept the work examines the image we have of our selves and others. The interactive installation is composed of 3 video screens and 3 cameras when a visitor (user) enters the room their image is recorded and displayed on the screen the first screen displays the past, the second present and the third the future. Images are processed using machine learning algorithms (facial recognition to detect and match the users face to the screen). The first image feels like a slight delay of the presence, however,  the future displays an image of a white male in a white t-shirt and and it predicts the visitors actions based on movements the person makes in the present.

"What is interesting is the fact that the same neurons are activated when we perform these actions ourselves. "(1)

The visitor is mirror neurons are by the images in front of them and the actions are starting to alter also mirroring what is seen on the screen.
