Kiryu Kosuke

Kosuke Kiryu is a Japanese engineer who perfected the medical AI Nozomi after his wife passed away from cancer before she could develop it enough to cure herself. After Nozomi becomes a widespread technology in Japan, helping millions of people staying healthy but also aggravating the country's aging problem, he moves to Singapore with his daughter Kokoro to start a new life. Unfortunately, during one trip back to Japan, he is framed by a hacker as the culprit for a change in Nozomi's behavior and is forced to go rogue in order to find the real hacker, save his daugther's life and the lives of million of Japanese users. He is portrayed as a dedicated scientist, good-hearted and smart, ready to risk his life to restore his creation and help others. By the end of the movie, his daughter asks him if he still believes that AI can help humanity, and he prefers not to give a clear answer.
